I’m all about healthy ice cream, especially if one of the main ingredients includes fiber and potassium rich banana’s. Not only is this dairy and gluten free Healthy Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream super easy to make, but it also is low in fat and easily made vegan.
I know I’ve said it before, but frozen banana’s make an amazing smooth and creamy texture. They are not only perfect for smoothies, but also make a lean and mean healthy ice cream.

Try this #Healthy #PumpkinSpice #IceCream using #BananasClick To TweetIf for some reason you know your not going to be able to eat all of your banana’s in time, put them in the freezer before they turn too ripe. This is a great way to help manage food waste and minimize our impact on this beautiful earth. While of course still managing to satisfy our taste buds :).
Pumpkin’s also happen to be very nutrient dense fruits. Yes, it might seem weird – but technically pumpkins are considered to be a fruit because they are the portion of the plant that forms a flower, along with containing the seeds.
Pumpkins are extremely rich in vitamin A, which is illustrated by its vibrant and deep orange color. In addition, pumpkins are high in vitamin C and contain fiber, thiamine, niacin, and folate.
In order to make this dairy and gluten free Healthy Pumpkin Spice Ice Cream, the banana’s must be frozen solid for at least 24 hours. Once removed from the freezer, you can use a knife to cut the peel off.
For vegan, easily substitute the honey with maple syrup.
Combine the peeled frozen banana’s with all of the other ingredients in a food processor. Blend until smooth, and place in a freezer safe dish for at least 24 hours.
Prior to serving, remove the pumpkin dish from the freezer and allow to warm for a few minutes prior to dishing out.
