Gluten Free Tofu Tenders with Honey Mustard Sauce

To make these Gluten Free Tofu Tenders with Honey Mustard Sauce, firstly preheat an oven to 375°F. Secondly, line a baking sheet with tin foil and place a cooking rack on top.

In a shallow dish, combine the oat flour, flax, garlic powder, paprika, dry mustard, and salt/pepper; mix well. In a separate shallow dish, combine and mix the milk and Dijon mustard.

Place individuals slices of tofu in the milk mixture, then in the oat mixture making sure it is evenly coated. Repeat the process with all of the tofu slices, and place individually on the cooking rack.

Place in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine all remaining ingredients for honey mustard; mix well.

Ingredients

    Tofu Tenders:
  • 1 (12 oz) package extra firm tofu, cut into 1 cm strips
  • 1/2 cup oat flour, gluten free
  • 2 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1.5 tsp Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • Honey Mustard:
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup low fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
